You’ve probably seen him spend the 28-day challenge on your Facebook page or your Instagram feed! Throughout the month of February, thousands of Quebecers stop drinking alcohol. Whatever the reason, it is proven that drinking less alcohol is beneficial to health. Of course, the effects vary from person to person, but according to research by the American Board of Obesity Medicine, less alcohol in our bodies means a better quality of sleep, weight loss, and a lower risk of suffering from cardiovascular disease or cancer. Whether you take part in the 28 Day Challenge or not, quitting drinking does not mean you can’t have fun. In this blog post, we offer you 3 mocktails to enjoy and share alone or with guests.

Non-Alcoholic Peach White Sangria

What’s a summer without a good pitcher of Sangria? We offer you our version of the Peach White Sangria. You will be able to catch up with your friends while savouring delicious food.

Ingredients you need

  1. 8 oz. cranberry juice;
  2. 8 oz. white grape juice;
  3. 4 oz. fresh orange juice;
  4. One lemon ;
  5. A lime to spice things up;
  6. 16 oz of non-alcoholic sparkling wine.
  7. A few ice cubes to serve cold to your guests.

Preparation of the White Sangria

  1. Mix the juices and put them in the fridge.
  2. Just before serving, add the sparkling peach wine, ice cubes, lemon, and lime.

Once served, you can treat your guests to crustless white bread with fresh walnut cheese, hazelnut chips, and dried cranberries.

Simone Sour

Simple to prepare, this recipe, originating from 1 or 2 cocktails, will please local product lovers. Once prepared, all you have left to do is take out the garden furniture to welcome your friends.

Ingredients you need

  1. 2 oz of blood orange juice;
  2. 0.5 oz. of maple syrup;
  3. One egg white;
  4. A few drops of rose water;
  5. Two slices of ginger;
  6. Ice cubes to serve it chilled;
  7. The flesh of passion fruit.

Preparation of Simone Sour

  1. Put all the ingredients in a blender;
  2. Stir without adding the ice cubes;
  3. Filter the liquid through a strainer;
  4. Serve chilled for guests.

Festive virgin Mojito

What would summer be without a good mojito? We bring you a non-alcoholic version of the drink that we no longer present. Once prepared, all you have to do is prepare the terrace by adding tableware, a beautiful table, and some garden furniture that will make your outdoor space unique.

Ingredients you need

  1. 8 limes;
  2. Ice cubes;
  3. Lime flavoured sparkling water;
  4. Fresh mint;
  5. 10 teaspoons of coconut sugar;
  6. 5 tablespoons of homemade lemonade.

How to prepare the Festive Mojito

  1. First crush the mint while incorporating the sugar, lime juice;
  2. Add the lemonade and stir well;
  3. Put the mixture in your guests’ glasses;
  4. Add sparkling water and ice cubes so that you can serve it chilled.

Whether you want to stop drinking to take part in the 28-Day Challenge or just for your own reasons, it is entirely possible to enjoy a drink without the harmful effects associated with alcohol.
