5 mocktails to try to toast all summer!

We’re almost at the end of the month of July, but we’re far from the end of the summer. There’s a lot of hot days left to invite your friends and party! Nothing’s better than open your lawn umbrella, install the chairs, put the glasses and plates around the table to cheers together. Of course, drinking cocktails around a fireplace is always pleasant, but from time to time drinking mocktail instead is better. If you think about it, you won’t have to worry about a hangover or have to count the number of drinks you’re taking. Another advantage’s mocktail contains fewer calories (if you don’t take soft drinks with a lot of sugar) than cocktails and they cost less. The first question you have to ask yourself is, where should I begin? We have five essential mocktails to cheers with your friend all summer long.

Orange Creamsicle Mimosa

The mimosa is an unavoidable drink for Sunday brunch. We propose you a good alternative without alcohol, so you can drink without worrying about getting tipsy. This improves version of Mimosa will bring you back your childhood memories with his cream soda taste. To make it, you’ll need 

  • Some oranges cut into slices.
  • 600 ml of your favourite orange juice
  • 420 ml of vanilla ice cream
  • 950 ml of sparkling apple juice
  • A little bit of white sugar to add to the edge of your guest’s glasses

Preparation: 

  • With a knife, cut your oranges into thin slices. After, slash each slice and press it on the edge of each glass.
  • Plunge the glasses in white sugar to decorate it and let it on the side.
  • Put the ice cream and orange juice in a mixer and mix it until you have a smooth mixture.
  • Put 60 ml of the mixture into each glass and complete with sparkling apple juice.

Note: if there’s still and orange left, you can use it to make zest and décor each guest’s beverage.

 

Tequila Sunrise without alcohol (5 people)

To enjoy while picnicking with friends or on a sunny day on a terrace, the Tequila Sunrise’s a refreshing drink. We propose you a version without alcohol of the iconic drink. You’ll need the following ingredients:

  • 375 ml of orange juice.
  • 625 ml of pineapple juice
  • 75 ml of grenadine syrup
  • Frozen pieces of pineapple
  • Ice cubes
  • A lime

Preparation

  • With a mixer, crush frozen pineapple pieces. Add gradually the pineapple juice into the mixer.
  • In each glass, add 15 ml of grenadine syrup and press the lime to extract the juice.
  • Complete with ice, orange juice and the mixture of pineapple juice and pineapple pieces.

Mojito without alcohol (8 people)

What’s summer without a great mojito pitcher? To share on a terrace or to sip around a table during the supper, a mojito is an unavoidable drink of the summer. In addition to being delicious, it will take only five minutes to prepare it. You’ll need

  • Few mint leaves
  • Ice cubes.
  • 50 ml of white sugar
  • 100 ml of lemonade
  • 8 limes
  • 1,000 of lime flavour still water

Preparation

  • Press the lime in a bowl to extract the lime juice. With the peels, make a lime zest.
  • Crush mint leaves and sugar in the same bowl with lime juice.
  • Separate the mixture in each guest’s glass.
  • Complete the beverage with ice and still water.

Pina Colada (6 people)

You don’t need to take a flight to Porto Rico to enjoy a great Pina Colada. All you’ll need is 10 minutes and the following ingredients.

  • 600 ml of pineapple juice
  • 300 ml of coconut milk
  • 400 ml of cane syrup
  • 1 pineapple
  • Ice cubes

Preparation

  • In a mixer, put the ice cubes, the pineapple juice, coconut milk and a few pieces of pineapple and crush it.
  • Separate the mixture into each guest’s glass and add 65 ml of cane syrup.
  • Complete it with a few pieces of pineapple and serve.

Blue Lagoon without alcohol

In only 10 minutes, you’ll have a refreshing drink. Have you ever tried the Blue Lagoon? If it’s not the case, you’ll need the following ingredients:

  • 500 ml of grapefruit juice.
  • 500 ml of Schweppes
  • 50 ml of mint syrup
  • Ice cubes

Preparation

  • Simply put all ingredients in a bowl and mix it all together.
  • Put the ice cubes into each glass
  • Pour the cocktail into each glass and serve it cold.

All you have to do is to go to your local grocery to grab the necessary ingredients, take out the chairs, the table, the glasses and the table
